Stories Come Alive

The Greer Garson Theatre Center, opened in 1975 through the generosity of Oscar-winning actress Greer Garson, has long been a cultural anchor of Midtown. For decades, it served as the performance home for the College of Santa Fe and later the Santa Fe University of Art and Design, hosting student productions, community performances, and visiting artists.

With its 500-seat main auditorium, black-box theater, rehearsal halls, and creative support spaces, the Garson Theatre remains a landmark for creativity, education, and performance in Santa Fe.

Community Focused

The Greer Garson Theater will be redeveloped as a gathering space centered on Santa Fe’s community. It will provide access for local organizations without venues of their own, giving residents a place to connect, create, and share cultural experiences.

Performances & Events

The theater will host a wide range of performances, screenings, and cultural events. From concerts and plays to community showcases, it will be a lively venue that highlights Santa Fe’s creativity and provides something for everyone to enjoy.

Office Spaces

The redeveloped theater will also include flexible office spaces for local groups and creative productions. These professional work areas will give organizations a supportive home in Midtown while connecting them to the broader cultural hub.
